Free elf arrival letter, plus your elf's first 4 notes

What's inside

• Two arrival letters: one for an elf's first visit and a “Guess who's back?” letter for returning elves
• Notes 1 to 4 for the first four mornings, four to a page, cut apart on the dashed lines
• Four easy setup ideas that match the notes (a high lookout, a soft snowball fight, gone fishing, a low zipline), with paper fish to cut out
• A “Color with Me!” coloring page with the elf, a penguin and a smiling tree
• Name boxes on the first page: type your child's and your elf's names once and they appear on both letters and every note

How to use it

1. Open the file in a free form-filling app (Adobe Acrobat Reader works) and type the two names on page 1. No computer? Print it and write them by hand.
2. Print at actual size (100%) and cut the notes apart. Keep everything hidden from little eyes.
3. On arrival day, sit your elf somewhere fun with the arrival letter and note 1. On the next three nights, move the elf and leave notes 2, 3 and 4.
