What's inside

A story to read aloud and a one-page host guide
3 puzzles: a symbol code in the frost, a marshmallow maze and a word search with a secret message
A Final Lock sheet, hint cards (3 per puzzle), the answer key and a certificate for every player
Nothing to cut except the hint cards, and no special supplies

Great as a warm-up while the grown-ups finish dinner, or as a rainy-day treat for a classroom. Teams of 2 or 3 work best.

Print it, put each puzzle in a numbered envelope and keep the answer key for yourself.
Read the story aloud, start a 25-minute timer and hand over Envelope 1.
Make real cocoa for the end. It's the best prize.
